Observations

Facts

Effects
The virtual world scenes in this episde are very good, though the colonist in seemed a bit too smooth and bright for the external shots. The mining facility looked excellent and quite believable. Alwyn's holomonsters were a bit hit and miss. The dragon looked good if, slightly cartoonish, while the holodemons were by far the best effects of the show.

Notes & Opinions: Is it me or is Galen getting all the really good one liners?
Seriously now, I enjoyed this episode but found it really didn't add to the overall growth of the show. While it did reveal a little more about Galen, the Technomages, and Earth Alliance's obvious desperation it did little to really move the overall story arc along.
I did enjoy the touch of modern day social issues thrown in about destruction of the environment in the name of convenient progress and it's effect on people. It was a good reminder that we can have prgogress but need to keep in mind such advances can have on our surroundings and the responsibility that entails.

Best Actor/Actress: Edward Woodward. This was an easy choice given the limited number of actors used in this episode. Having the greatest exposition of the episode Edward Woodward rose to the challenge admirably.
