Plot

• Four months since quarantine on Earth has begun.
• The Excaliber can deploy a series of probes from orbit that spread through out the planet.
• World wiped out a hundred years ago.
• For 100 years the Technomages have avoided the planet.
• IPX protocol: If head xenoarcheologist goes planet side the second and third in line must stay on the ship.
• Binary star system
• All data crystals share same fundemental technologies in their creation.
• Probes work on 9000 kilocycles
• World: thin atmosphere, thin ozone layer lss than 30% Earth normal.
• A  self replicating nanotech virus created by a technomage to destroy the planets population. The virus is controlled by an artificial intelligence that has changed over the years. Enitre world wiped out within three days.
• Nanotech virus helped Chambers create a 48 hour screen from the Drakh virus. Can' be used often and is in limited supply. Mixture of nanotech and liquid teflon.

• Staff apparently helps control Galen's cybernetic enhacements and was only thing capable of destroying another technomages creation.
