Overview: Once an extremely powerful force in the galaxy the Centauri Republic has weakened over the past one hundred years. At one time the controlled vast areas of space,though they never challenged the mysterious Minbari Federation. Despite their loss of influence to younger emerging powers, such as the Narn Regime and the Earth Alliance, Centauri is one of the major spoken languages of the galaxy. The Centauri Republic is now viewed with varying degrees of suspicion and contempt by many of the other races for their past agression and betrayal shortly after the formation of the Interstellar Alliance.
